South Central Region 8 Workforce Board will serve as a catalyst to promote collaborative relationships between business, education, labor, and service providers to support workforce development efforts and regional economic growth.

Tax and Audit RFP released July 23, 2021

The South Central Region 8 Workforce Board is requesting proposals from licensed CPA firms with knowledge of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and experience auditing organizations created under this act.  The organization selected will prepare tax returns and conduct financial and compliance audits for 2 years, (fiscal years ending June 30, 2021 and June 30, 2022) with a possible 1-year extension.

The South Central Region 8 Workforce Board, Inc. (WDB) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation which has oversight of employment and training programs in the following eight counties:  Brown, Daviess, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Orange and Owen.  The WDB provides employment and training programs in the Economic Growth Region 8 using a variety of state and federal grant resources, including those available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and several other grants.  Revenues and expenditures for the year ending June 30, 2021 are expected to be approximately $3.7 million.

Crowe, LLP serves as Fiscal Agent with full time staff and records located at the Crowe office in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The WDB is governed by a volunteer board that provides oversight and guidance on program operations.

The WDB serves as a pass through entity providing employment and training programs in the Economic Growth Region 8 using a variety of state and federal grant resources, including those available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Re-employment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA), Adult Education WorkINdiana Training Program, Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), Business Services.

The WDB is governed by a volunteer board that will initiate program directives and provide oversight and guidance on program operations. Crowe, LLP serves as the Board's Fiscal Agent.
