Region 8 Mission Statementhorizontal rule

South Central Region 8 Workforce Board will serve as a catalyst to promote collaborative relationships between business, education, labor, and service providers to support workforce development efforts and regional economic growth.

South Central Region 8 Workforce Board, Inc. is requesting proposals to secure one entity to provide Staff to the Board, One-Stop Operator Services and Service Provisions for WIOA Services, Business Services, RESEA, Adult Education WorkINdiana Training Program, JAG, Functional Supervision of State Staff and Wagner Peyser Management. The successful bidder will enter into negotiations for a contract from July1, 2018 to June 30, 2020, with an optional one-year extension at the discretion of the WDB for a total of three (3) years.

The South Central Region 8 Workforce Board, Inc. (WDB) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation which has oversight of employment and training programs in the following eight counties: Brown, Daviess, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Orange and Owen. The WDB serves as a pass through entity providing employment and training programs in the Economic Growth Region 8 using a variety of state and federal grant resources, including those available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Re-employment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA), Adult Education WorkINdiana Training Program, Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), Business Services.

The WDB is governed by a volunteer board that will initiate program directives and provide oversight and guidance on program operations. Crowe Horwath, LLP serves as Fiscal Agent.
